Issue

Georgian houses, converted in the past to flats, in the heart of London required upgrading works to provide long term coating protection of exterior wall surfaces and hard wearing decoration of interior communal areas. Tony Randall from Sanctuary Housing Association said

"we have used traditional masonry paints over the years without success, so we were looking for something which would cope more effectively with the conditions".

How it was solved

Andura high performance products were specified and used. The products used were certified by the Building Research Establishment as highly breathable when tested to the European Standard EN 1062-2. Andura's Operations Director, Danny Bayer reports:

"We have made a commitment to a pure aliphatic acrylic based material".

Outcome

Andura products were on both external and internal surfaces of the property and as a result of the success achieved, Sanctuary Housing Association continued to specify and use Andura products on other properties.
